Hareta is an award-winning HR professional who helps businesses drive commercial success, by developing confident leaders and reimagining the employee experience.

Jennie Rogerson | Global Head of People

Jennie Rogerson is Global Head of People at Canva. Since launching in 2013, Canva’s global community has grown to over 85 million monthly users in more than 190 countries and has created a total of more than 10 billion designs.

Jennie joined Canva in 2019 as the first person in Leadership Operations for Co-founders, and CEO and COO: Melanie Perkins and Cliff Obrecht. Similar to a Chief of Staff role, Jennie wore many hats from strategic partner, cat herder, and dot connector, to the driver of many fun and interesting initiatives including Canva's Future of Work post-COVID approach to flexible work, Celebration of Diversity strategy, the Co-founders’ pledge to give a 30% stake of Canva to the Canva Foundation and creating Canva's Leadership Operations and Operations Business Partnering teams.

Today, Jennie leads the People Group at Canva where she oversees a global team of 300 people.

Zhoe Low | General Manager

Zhoe is the General Manager of direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand July. Launching in 2018 with a single luggage product, the Carry-On, the brand has since grown to include a multitude of travel accessories.

Zhoe started with July in 2019 as Marketing Lead, delivering data-driven creative campaigns that have helped the business grow exponentially. July has achieved 640% growth over the past financial year, winning Smart Company’s 2022 Smart 50 Awards for the fastest growing SME in Australia.

Zhoes stewardship is the key reason July continues to grow and impress across Australia, US, and the world. Her strategic mindset and EQ-leadership has accelerated growth and kept the team globally engaged. A leader in all senses of the word - Zhoe is definitely a young exec to watch.

 

Gail Asbell | Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Gail is the dynamic force behind Upstate Studios and Upstate Sport. Since launching in 2009, Gail has been inspiring and empowering people to reach their fitness goals with her collection of energetic pilates, yoga, reformer and boxing studios across Melbourne and Geelong, as well as her activewear brand.

As the strategic thinker behind Upstate's brand strategy and people and culture, Gail is a natural leader who guides her team of over 120 staff and instructors to achieve their goals and strive for greatness. She is truly passionate about creating opportunities for people in the fitness industry and helping them to reach their full potential.

In 2022, Gail reached new heights with Upstate, leading a successful capital raising process with the Cotton On Innovation Fund to secure a multi-million dollar investment to scale Upstate Studios to 50 locations nationally.
